How we are run, and the policies that keep us transparent and accountable.
We take being a responsible charity seriously. Building Malawi is a registered UK charity run by a volunteer committee, with a simple, transparent model that keeps our running costs to almost nothing.
How we’re run
- Registered UK Charity, No. 1145965.
- Governed by a volunteer committee with no paid UK staff.
- Committee members fund their own travel and meeting costs.
- 100% of donations go to projects; our only UK cost is unavoidable bank charges, never funded from your donation.
- Every project is owned and run by Malawian partners and is built to be financially self-sufficient.
